SELENE HORN

Following the resounding success of Metis loudspeaker, we were challenged by friends and clients to design a loudspeaker capable of reproducing Metis sound quality in small to medium-sized listening spaces, while also being suitable for installations where large speaker stands could not be accommodated. After extensive research and experimentation, the TriangleART team developed this masterpiece of a two-way full-range floorstanding loudspeaker—the Selene. We refined the top-tier qualities of its predecessor, Metis. We again employed a horn-load design and continued the solid walnut wood craftsmanship. The subwoofer enclosure is also made of solid walnut wood, incorporating patented damping technology and a specially designed ventilated reflective load. The crossover uses top-of-the-line Mundorf components and retains Metis’s fourth-order crossover (24dB/octave) design, ensuring safe operation with high-power amplifiers.

For the driver units, the horn section uses a Beyma 2-inch wideband compression driver, while the mid-bass section features a Beyma 12-inch woofer. This meticulously tuned driver combination and load technology results in a high-performance, ultra-wide frequency response speaker with unparalleled transient response and clarity in its price range, all within a compact 14-inch x 14-inch stand.
