PRODUCT INFORMATION

It was a long cherished desire Heinz Wildhagens, to record songs by Franz Schubert with guitar accompaniment – his time in the Schubertiaden a common performance practice. Through the transparent sound of the guitar Schubert‘s music receives a lightness and buoyancy, which is rarely to hear on piano. After considering all the Schubert songs – after all, well over 800 – we made a selection. Some edits submitted by contemporaries, some were executed by Klaus Jäckle with great experience and empathy itself.
