LS28SE draws on Audio Research’s extensive experience in building the Reference 160 series power amplifiers. Numerous costly component upgrades significantly enhance the LS28SE’s clarity, resolution, transient response, and spatiality. Flexible operation

LS28SE preamplifier is flexible and intuitive to operate. Four balanced inputs and four unbalanced inputs, along with two sets of balanced and unbalanced outputs, provide a wealth of connectivity options. Input naming, tube usage time, automatic power-off, and home theater pass-through functions can all be easily set via the menu. Phase reversal and mono mode are also standard features.

Founded by William Z. Johnson, who began designing bespoke audio electronics in the early 1950s and operated a specialist audio retail shop in the mid-1960s.
