I/50 DAC CARD MODULE

The optional I/50 DAC card module supports a variety of connectivity options and a range of decoding formats to accommodate a wide range of digital music formats and resolutions. Stream wirelessly via Bluetooth, connect to a laptop via USB, connect to a DVD player via optical cable, or connect directly to a TV, or insert a CD using RCA; access Qobuz, Tidal, and other streaming platforms via your own streaming service for higher playback rates and bit depth, allowing you to experience the full digital music experience.

Inputs: USB, TOSLINK (fiber optic), RCA (coaxial), Bluetooth.

USB – All standard PCM sampling rates up to 384kHz. DSD64 and DS128 (also known as DSD 1x and DSD 2x). DoP64 and DoP128 (also known as DoP 1x and DoP 2x).
Bluetooth – 48kHz upsampled to 211kHz.
Fiber optic (Toslink) – up to 48kHz, 24-bit (limited by the fiber optic receiver jack module), upsampled to 211kHz.
Coaxial cable – up to 192kHz, upsampled to 211kHz.

Founded by William Z. Johnson, who began designing bespoke audio electronics in the early 1950s and operated a specialist audio retail shop in the mid-1960s. Johnson's endeavours almost single-handedly revived vacuum tube design at a time when major industry manufacturers had abandoned the technology in favour of low-cost solid-state equipment, whose inferiority in musical fidelity is now widely acknowledged. Many industry observers regard Johnson as one of the true originators of the entire concept of contemporary "high-end" audio, a technical specialism in which American companies remain distinct innovators and leaders globally.
