CA-430 MM / MC Phono Amplifier

CA-430 employs advanced circuitry and high-quality components to provide an additional gain stage and RIAA equalization circuitry, essential for the high-precision and low-noise reproduction of phono stage outputs. It also features an external power supply to prevent unwanted electromagnetic interference to the line stage.

CA-430 also provides inputs for moving magnet and moving coil phono cartridges. Users can adjust the moving coil input impedance for impedance loads of 100, 150, 200, 300, 400, and 600 ohms.

The power supply uses three selected vacuum tubes (1 x 5Y3, 1 x 6V6, and 1 x 6SL7) and incorporates a newly designed circuit. The extra-large power transformer is custom-wound and also uses dual chokes.

The pipeline stage uses four 12AX7 vacuum tubes. Track highlights include the use of a total of eight Hovland MusiCaps®. Swiss-made ELMA rotary switches are used as MM/MC input selectors, as well as six user-adjustable MC input impedance load selectors.
