CD1.1x is the latest iteration of our long-running and highly popular entry-level integrated Red Book CD player.
While other members of the audiophile community remain preoccupied with the currently popular—yet ultimately illusory—trend of so-called “high-resolution” computer audio, we at Audio Note (UK) continue our efforts to extract the highest possible level of information and quality from the Red Book CD, which remains the best digital music format available today.
Audio Note (UK) attaches immense importance to the digital media presented by compact discs. We sincerely hope that you, too, will discover this method of delivery—breaking free from the “digital mold” to which we have all become accustomed—and thereby open a new window onto your CD collection.
It is designed specifically for sonic performance rather than technical specifications, and meets all Audio Note (UK) Level 1 standards.
Digitalization: Done Right
The custom-modified, factory-installed Philips CD mechanism is designed solely for playing genuine Red Book CDs—a format we believe remains the best digital music format available today.
Philips TDA1543 DAC utilizes a non-oversampling, digital filter-free circuit design; its analog output stage features the exceptional 6111WA miniature dual triode and our proprietary Audio Note (UK) foil output capacitors.
