POWER LYNX ULTRA is a high-quality 9-gauge composite, OFC 99.7% copper stranded power cable. It is designed to maximize A/C power delivery to all high-end components, such as power and integrated amplifiers, regulators, preamplifiers, CD players, DACs, etc. The natural rubber insulation offers excellent damping and dielectric properties at 110 volts/60 Hz. A star-quadrilateral configuration is used in the POWER LYNX ULTRA topology, based on our significant success in balancing A/C power delivery. The cable is terminated with Japanese-made, silver-plated 120-volt audio-grade Edison and IEC connectors. Custom connections at both ends can be made to your requirements and/or country of origin.
POWER LYNX ULTRA is meticulously hand-assembled for superior performance. Avoid routing the cable close to interconnecting cables; if crossing is unavoidable, a 90-degree crossover is recommended. POWER LYNX ULTRA is relatively flexible for 9-gauge power cables, making it easy to install in racks and between components.
By design, the standard version of the POWER LYNX ULTRA is ungrounded. Extensive research has demonstrated that removing the ground wire allows for a more nuanced audio signal to be delivered via the return of the interconnects, rather than through the ground wire in the standard/grounded power line. We cannot express how important this is and whether it results in clearer sound. You will notice a significant improvement in soundstage depth due to the removal of air conditioning debris and the inherent noise in air conditioning lines. If you wish to retain these advantages while completely isolating the ground/chassis, we recommend using an isolation transformer or simply ensuring all outlets are on the same circuit (most outlets in any single room, especially custom sound rooms, are designed to be at the same stage). Custom versions with our proprietary grounding solution are available for users who require grounding cables. The POWER LYNX ULTRA reaches its optimal performance after at least 72 hours of “aging.” As a custom option, pre-installed POWER LYNX ULTRAs can be ordered directly and are ready to “play immediately.” Maximum cable response can be expected within 30 days if under continuous load after installation. The POWER LYNX ULTRA is packaged in an anti-static metal film bag. We do this for two reasons. First, cables should undergo X-ray and EMI shielding inspections at post offices, UPS, FedEx, and other carriers. Second, LightEasy Audio Technologies has always been committed to cable technology. We believe you shouldn’t pay extra for exotic woods, velvet linings, or other “designer” packaging, which significantly increases the cost of cables.
