Udo Schild – Solo/Duo
Millions know the voice of the 1999 Hennessy-Jazzsearch award-winner from the hit movie Traumschiff Surprise. There Udo Schild sings the soul ballad Lets make a Baby as Barry Tenderloin. Schild’s music, in that borderland of folk, soul, reggae and jazz, is absolutely authentic and his unique voice touches everyone who hears it. Some still know Udo Schild under the pseudonym Leon Delray. Side one of this vinyl-only album features him alone in the studio; on the second side, which was recorded at various club performances, he is accompanied by percussionist and keyboardist Xaver Fischer.
