There are different ways to celebrate an anniversary. We can look back and reflect on where we\u2019ve been and how far we\u2019ve come. Or we can look forward towards future possibilities. Alternatively, we can simply pause and \u2018take five\u2019 to be present \u2013 right here, right now. Rather like that in-the-moment presence we feel when we\u2019re enjoying superb music, excellently recorded and played. That\u2019s how we\u2019re celebrating Clearaudio\u2019s 40th anniversary. To mark the occasion we\u2019re delighted to present an album of music that embodies our passion for perfection, for nuanced and detailed sound, and for an intimate marriage of creativity and technical finesse. In other words, an album that reflects the key principles by which our founder, Peter Suchy, has lived his life. \u201cTake the best and make it better \u2013 only then it is just good enough.\u201d His well-known quote is as valid today as it was 40 years ago, and has inspired a host of colleagues and collaborators along the way.<\/p>\n
Peter Suchy is not merely a visionary, but also a highly driven, hands-on creator for whom satisfaction has always represented a dead-end. Ever since the release of his Delta and Sigma speakers in 1978 and the development of his first moving coil cartridges, not a day has passed when he didn\u2019t strive to set new standards for higher fidelity. This mindset continues to underpin our work at Clearaudio.<\/p>\n
No matter where you\u2019ve come from or where you\u2019re going, if your heart beats to the drum of truly authentic sound then you\u2019ll find Peter Suchy\u2019s spirit, will and drive in every single one of his products \u2013 from the most towering turntable to the smallest cable.<\/p>\n
While some creators may be content with merely looking closely, Peter Suchy has always both looked and listened closely. Very closely – and at both ends of the spectrum, from top-quality record engineering to excellent playback. So the early stages of every Clearaudio musical recording begins with questions like, \u201cDoes it sound exactly like in a concert hall?\u201d and \u201cDoes the music feel as was intended when it was written and composed?\u201d.<\/p>\n
In addition to our own recordings, a number of our favourite legendary productions from Deutsche Grammophon have also found their way onto this album. So why not take a pause, \u2018take five\u2019 and enjoy these moments of exceptional music, lovingly produced. And join us in celebrating 40 years of loving music!<\/p>\n
