There is absolutely no metal in the signal-carrying portion of these wires. However, the return (shielding) is made of metal (multiple thin OFC strands) in RCA and XLR configurations, so NANOFIBER wires are as silent and hum-free as the best conventional wires (i.e., all-metal signal wires).  <\/p>\n<p>The above shows the latest NANOFIBER revision.
